Find out the procedure that your counseling office follows so that you can get your transcripts sent in as soon as you apply. Also, forward your SAT/ACT scores this summer. This is what my son did and he was accepted to IU immediately with an $8k/year scholarship . He then applied for direct admit (College of Arts and Sciences) and was accepted. Finally, housing. Got it done early and he got his first choice. He had been accepted and finished with the collegd stress before most seniors had begun applying.</p>
<p>He’s out of state, so the IU scholarship will cover room and board and his ROTC scholarship takes care of the rest.</p>
<p>Bottomline? Apply as early as you can.</p>
<p>Also, when he visited the college, he met with admissions (one on one), academic advisor for his major, and ROTC officers. Then he was able to put these names on his application.</p>
