I really got to know. I got a weighted gpa of about 3.3. an unweighted gpa of 3.0-3.1. I have retaken some classes to have my bad grades audited but most colleges average all attempts when they calculate for gpa so i'm probably looking at a 2.8-2.9. Also I got a 1160 on SAT but I only got to take it once because I'm suppose to be a junior but skipped to a senior in January. Can anyone tell me what are my chances of getting in??

It seems like you might get in but I'm not sure. I know people with very low GPA with average SATs who got in but they applied like in late december or early january. If you have not applied yet or just recentlly applied it then you are up against a tough crowd of people with limited space availble. I guess you gotta just wait and see.

If you don't get in, I would recommend this:

Take the SAT and ACT right away, and then apply for the Spring semester at UCF. You could also consider taking classes at your local CC during the fall term, and those credits will just transfer over to UCF in the spring-- that way you will not be behind one semester.

Good luck!

After speaking with many Florida parents I found out that the fall semester is the hardest to get accepted into. My S had a much higher GPA than you and he had 12 AP courses on his transcript. However his SAT was just about where yours is at this point.

I would suggest you sit for the ACT and the SAT (yet again). It is a proven and known fact that the second sitting for the SAT will show an increase in your score. And I agree with the other poster, apply for the Spring Semester. Get your counselors and students to send in recommendation letters.

Warning though, if you go to any other college for one semester and try and transfer in, UCF seems to have a reputation of not accepting students who have not completed their Associate degree. This happened to several friends of mine S&D and then were stuck at the community college for 2 years. So beware of any college that says you can transfer at anytime to UCF w/o a degree and association.

ps: You have a 50/50 chance of getting in.
