What do you want to be when you 'grow up' and why?

Originally I wanted to be something in finance. But I've heard of numerous examples of how money does not provide happiness. Now I can't decide. What do you want to be? Are you doing it for the money? Power? Because you like it or some other reasons. Please share!

I want to be a I-banker then a heart surgeon. I want to be an I-banker because my dad told me I couldn’t be one when I grow up and I want to be a heart surgeon because I was born with a heart condition that requires surgery for some people and I want to help others with similar heart conditions

I want to rule the world

banker, then US Senator.

I sound like such a d-bag, dont I?

@FutureVpFinance, you don’t sound like one to me.

I want to be a green chemist so I can help get rid of the pollution in this world.

I want to be the richest person in the world.

self-explanatory

MWcollege12- thank you. I like banking, and I like politics, but I’m not one of those people that wants to buy Congress and then run for office like you see now.

Golfcrewxctrack seems like a waste to be an I banker out of vengeance. Why not just continue on your heart surgeon dream? It’s equally challenging and I think 10 times more respectful. Don’t waste your time on ibanking.

Wanna be awesome. Everything else will sort itself out.

I really want to be a farmer (no joke). Like a sheep herder/chicken raiser/garden tender/preserve maker that’s almost entirely self-sufficient.

My other dream is to be a orchestral trombone player (which is even more unlikely).

A general surgeon because it’s awesome to get to save lives!

@Samonuh: I used to rule the world…

Financial Engineer…but I have a long way to go
@avatarmage If finance or math interest you, then you technically aren’t doing it for the money

Teacher! Secondary or work at a university

Most likely be a doctor

^very true i love economics but I hate math right now. Taking bc calculus and I struggle to maintain an A. I used to love math like in geometry where I could just stare at the picture for a while and get it without studying.

Teachers a really cool profession. Would be one myself if it paid more lol.

I want to do like research related to aging somehow. at the moment more interested in the applications of systems biology to it, but i doubt that’s the most efficient way to make progress towards the goal, which is eliminating aging.

uhh doing things related to immunology or stem cells orand biochemical engineering are other possibilities.

in reality I should probably advocate for the cause and try to draw the attention of smart people to it. that’s probably the way i could make the largest impact. but unfortunately that’s not particularly satisfying.

God.

That way, life will be easy. You know, ditch the universe to its own fate–and revel in carefree lifestyle in Heaven?

Life would be wonderful. size=1[/size]

1) CIA Agent

But I’m actually starting to look into epilepsy right now …
How do you guys know what you want to do? Yeesh. I always feel so pressured by my parents.

High school band director…am I crazy?
