<p>Hello. :) I was wondering what kind of majors people are considering for undergrad studies. Ex/ biology, chemistry, biochemistry</p>
<p>and please don't say pre-med, thats not a major, thanks</p>
<p>For me, Spanish.<br>
1.) I love it.
2.) It will be a practical skill.
3.) I don't want to wreck my chances of getting in with a low GPA in biochem. EEK!!!</p>
<p>Actually, pre-med <em>is</em> a major at some schools. Just not very many.</p>
<p>Pre-med is a stupid major. :) If it's a major, I at least deserve a minor in pre-med.</p>
<p>I'm planning on Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics. Maybe but I tend to be indecisive.lol.</p>

minor or double major: NEUROSCIENCE</p>

<p>I wanted to do biology, then biochemsitry. Now I think I want do chemical engineering despite my dad, an electrical engineer, saying that it'll be hard for m eto do that and biology-type pre-med courses.</p>
<p>Major: Pyschology or cognitive science.. (can't decide which one.)
Minor: French or neuroscience</p>

<p>Just remember that a double major or a minor doesn't really have an effect on med school admission.</p>
<p>Two MD friends of mine were English majors, another was a Philosophy major.</p>

<p>To those who arent majoring in science majors, do you do that for the sake of getting a higher gpa or something to fall back on if you dont get into medical school?</p>
<p>and what about those who ARE majoring in a science related field, what happens to you if you didn't get into medical school?</p>
