going back to the greek life comment i was wondering if being a junior transfer is not worth joining a frat because "im too old" like someone had said? or do alot of juniors end up joining?

Once you are there in the fall, you should be able to get a sense of whether a lot of transfer students (even juniors) join frats.

I was hosted by a junior who had recently "crossed over."

sounds like they died...

Instead of greek life, couldn't you rent a little house somewhere near the campus and live there?

yes, alot of my friends are doing that.

do you know what the average rent would be for a house? Are there nice apartments near? How close are they to the uni? And do those suck in the winter (w/o a car)? I still need to visit, but I don't know if I want a dorm, or, what I am used to, an apt/condo/house, complete with kitchen, bathroom, etc. (does cornell offer housing like this?)
