What do

premeds that got weeded out do for living?

some completely change their focus to another discipline....bioengineering, business, you pick the department and it is full of them. Some turn to nursing and take that route. Students who wash out usually do it early on so there is plenty of time to refocus........I know two who are in Econ and one who is in physics.

that's quite pathetic... Why is it so effin hard to be a doctor?????

Maybe because the public's lives are in their hands? You want someone who is willing to work hard/someone who knows what they're doing, to take care of your health.

Looking through your posts, you seem to want to know a ton about becoming a doctor but you don't really seem like you want to work for it, or as if you're just doing it for the money. There are other careers where you can make a lot of money that don't involved 8 years of difficult schooling + several years residency and fellowships.
