What documents do I need from school?

What documents do I need from my highschool when I join college in the States? I realize that I need my 12th board results. Anything else? Do I need to bring a 9-12 transcript as well?

You are a 16er or 17er?

^ Exactly.

If '17er: Just the transcripts, as of now.

If '16er: Depends on the university.

He must be a 16’er as I gather from his posts.
I think they only need your copy of your 12th final marks. :)

I’m a '16er. If it varies from university to university, where can I get this info? Because if I need documents from school, I have to ask them for it now.

Which university were ou admitted to? Usually universities have portals for admitted students which details this information.

If not, contact the university and ask.

Nearly all my university admissions letters that I got in the mail stated that they needed

‘A final official academic record [12th Marks] must be sent directly [don’t know what this would mean for CBSE] to our office.’ And a link that tells you exactly what you need for visa and stuff…

I’d say email the university and ask if you’re unsure. No point delaying it, and no point being shy about it. Most (if not all) universities are happy to help prospective students.
