what does A- mean? 90-95% of total points of class?

what does A- mean? 90-95% of total points of class?

It depends entirely on the class. Some classes don’t even have points. Here’s one curve I had in a class:

Nothing too out of the ordinary here.

quite different from CCC scale, thx.

What class was this for??

Math 33A with Balmer this past winter qarter

Thanks! wow that is a nice curve. lol I dont’ think I’ve ever seen a 57 being a C?

Chem 14c(organic chem):
A+ >95%
A >90%
A- >85%
B+ >80%
B >75%
B- >70%
C+ >63%
C >56%
C- >50%
D+ >43%
D >36%
D- >30%

It really depends on the class, as others have said. Usually if the class doesn’t have a curve, an A- will be 90-93%, but I’ve also had classes where it’s 90-95%.

[some curves just suck.](http://media.dailybruin.com/dailybruin//img/2010/may/11/5.11.cmyk.grades.jpg)
