What does "Advanced Standing" mean?

<p>I was making my application and in the year code selection there is two options, "advanced standing" and "first-year"</p>

<p>Advanced standing means that you have amassed enough college credit to bring you on an accelerated path (i.e. graduating in three years instead of four). Even for those with extensive amounts of AP/college credits and want to graduate early, this is something that would need to be worked out with a college advisor upon matriculation.</p>
