what does AP CREDIT MEAN??

I'm a senior in hs, have taken 7 aps, and about to graduate in 3 months and still only have a faint idea of it haha. so i have 5's on my exams and my college accepts those credits so does this mean that for some required courses i'd normally have to take, i can place out of and fill them with another course of my choosing? is this pretty much what it means? if i exempt out of a course w/ ap credit do i HAVE to fill it w/ another course to get the credits?...don't laugh if those are stupid questions haha i just wanna know so bad haha nobody has truly answered my question.

Yes, that’s essentially what it means.

If you go to your college website and search AP credit, it will most likely have a page that tells you what courses and how much credit you will receive. It varies widely between colleges. Then when you go to your advisor during orientation, they will confirm your AP
credit and recommend what to take next. It gets you out of some general classes and into classes in your major faster. It allows you more flexibility in your schedule or sometimes the opportunity to graduate early. It looks like you got a great head start-Congratulations!
