<p>I submitted my EA application to Purdue a couple weeks ago via the Common App. I checked on Purdue's admissions site today and it says my recommendation was received Oct 11, with a note "BDM (AUTOBDMS)". In the Common App, it says this recommendation has not been completed yet. Does BDM (AUTOBDMS) have any special meaning?</p>
<p>I had the same question. It means that the system received your recommendation and automatically attached it to your application.</p>
<p>Sooo… even though the Common App says “Started” and not “Completed” Purdue has a recommendation?</p>
<p>I would assume so but if I were you, I’d check with Purdue admissions just in case.</p>
<p>I would look into that, too. If the common app says that it hasn’t been downloaded, I doubt that Purdue has it. Since Purdue doesn’t require a recommendation, that notation may just be recognizing the counselor report.</p>
