Plz help guys!!

Hi
direct admission mean, you can get admission in colleges, directly, there is no exam or percentage process. Its great news for student who don’t have enough marks.

Oh I see! Thank you so much!

At a lot of big, public state schools, majors and schools are ‘competitive’. At MSE, a certain group of freshmen are put dirrectly into the engineering school, as opposed to being put in the general school/undecided/undeclared major for your pre-reqs. The benefits of DA are that you have a specific engineering advisor much earlier on, and you also won’t have to apply to get into the school. If you are not offered direct admit, you start off taking pre-req classes in the general school (usually the college of arts and sciences). It doesn’t really matter because your first year or so of undergrad (at least), you are taking ‘core’ courses, and as a student in the general school, you’ll take some core courses and some courses that prepare for engineering offered by MSE (physics methods, calc I, intro to engineering, etc.). At the end of your freshman year (typically), you’ll then apply into the school/major, where instead of your ACT score, MSE will look at your grades in all of your courses and especially the pre-engineering courses.
