And how does Fordham do admissions, by major? by department? or just general by school.

Depends where you want to go, Rose Hill or Lincoln Center. Lincoln center is a bit more selective than Rose Hill. If you want to go to Rose Hill, there are two schools, Fordham College and College of Business Administration. So if you apply to either school, they will not care about your major, but it may be easier to get into College of Business Administration. So to answer your question, they to no do admissions by school (FC vs. CBA). Fordham usually looks for decent GPA (solid B+ and higher) - 3.3 to 3.5 and involvement in various the community and within your school. A good essay or an interview, whatever it takes to express your interest to the school, may also increase your chances. They also look at you high school GPA and your SAT score but college GPA is the most important. Just keep in mind, Fordham is getting more and more selective by the year and their standards are increasing.

Correction: So to answer your question, they do admissions by school (FC vs. CBA) but not by major****

THey told me that you do not need SAT scores if you have been in college for over 1 year.

I only have 3.4 and work and internships. :( boo

that is not bad at all and internships will def help. best of luck.

which school do you currently attend?

SAT scores are not mandatory, but your High School Transcript is.

I attend UCLA.

I do not really have High school transcripts i took a proficiency exam.

I will apply having over 3 years of college credits, i wonder if that will bar me from admission?

I wonder if someone will chance me.

Looking to major in International political economy.

School: UCLA
Gpa: 3.4
internship: resolution economics
--economic consulting for litigation cases dealing in labor economics.
Major: International Development Studies (UCLA)
Previously attended community college.
Completed a lot of math courses for my original major.
Fluent in Russian --this is also my concentration for my UCLA major.
I have extensive previous work experience but NO ECs because I have to work in order to pay the bills.

Just a question: any reason you want to transfer from UCLA to Fordham? Fordham is a good school, but UCLA is regarded as one of the best in the nation.

Given your GPA and the school you're transferring from, I think you'll get in. Fordham's transfer acceptance rate is 38%.

because UCLA sucks. (sorry i havent logged on in a long time but felt like responding to this one)

i just dont like ucla.

bump

"THey told me that you do not need SAT scores if you have been in college for over 1 year. "

So, when I apply, they will be receiving my college transcript that will have one years worth of college credit. Does that count? As in, if I complete my entire freshman year by the time they receive my application, do I need to send SAT scores?

Not sending SAT scores, even though I am right around the average for them at fordham (combined highscores) would make me very happy…
