I was accepted ED into the NU in program. Does this mean that my application was not strong enough to get into the Boston campus but not weak enough to reject or defer? I’m glad I got in but I’m just wondering
NEU is a very stats oriented school. A 1330 SAT and a 92% UW GPA is lower than their median scores. They must have loved your application and wanted you to attend but could only do so if you enrolled in NUIn. It doesn’t mean you are a weaker student, its just that their holistic admission process starts with top GPA / Test scores students. By admitting you to NUin, you scores will not be factored into USNews rankings but they still get to have you as a student.
I was an NU.in student in the Fall of 2014 and I remember feeling similar to how you currently feel. I believe what suzyQ7 is true, but even still, 2 of my 3 other NU.in roommates were well above the 75th percentile for GPA/SAT for the entering class so I don’t think it’s a black and white thing. Don’t think for a second that your application was not good enough. On top of that, I absolutely loved NU.in and I don’t think I’ve met a single NU.in student who wished they had started in Boston in the fall.
Were you a full pay?
Yes, we did not apply for any financial aid if that’s what you are asking.
What is NU.in? Where is the campus?
