What does Harvard Business School look for in your undergraduate education?

I’m currently working on completing my undergraduate degree in Computer Science and I hope to one day go to Harvard for my MBA. I have some room in my schedule and I am wondering what courses I should take. Will taking business courses be a good idea? Or should I just try to get a minor in something like math, English or cognitive science?

Any advice on what Harvard looks for in your undergraduate education would be appreciated.

FYI: My school doesn’t have a business minor.

They really don’t care much about your undergrad curriculum as long you have a good major to get you a good job with a prestigious employer. That and your work experience, job progression, application statement matter more as long as your numbers(GPA/GMAT) fall within their range.

Generally, what you do AFTER undergrad matters much more than what you do during your undergrad years.

So are you saying that I should focus on what will get me a better job? Is it true then that the only way to get into HBS is if the company you work for puts you there?
