I'm a canidate for class of 2012. I Have NOM, passed CFA, and am DODMERB qualified. Does anyone know if " Hold " is good or bad ?

"Hold" is berry, berry good. Sit tight and get ready for a new adventure in your life.

Who am I to argue with you " majmattmason ". If anyone else has some insight or personal experience on the "Hold" issue. I would appreciate your feedback.

Yep hold is good. It means they may be missing something in your file and need it to complete, or it may mean they are still reviewing your file. If I were you,,,,I would call admissions and see if there is any documentation or information missing. The admissios office is full of some great people and they will let you know if you need anything :)

my app. status is on HOLD and it is good. I called admission office and they said better than alternate. Hold means that your child is being seriously considered. It is not 100% but I would say in the high 90%. Hold means that they can't give it to them because there scores are not at the very top so they have to wait and see if someone with higher scores comes along.

On Hold is better than alternate indeed. you could do what i did... call admissions at least once a week till they give you an answer. it got to the point where i didn't even have to introduce myself, the lady recognized my voice, and she gave me a big hug as i walked in at the start of indoc, just cause she recognized my voice. ha!

anyways, every time you talk to them they have to dig out your file and see if there's anything to report, which means it gets seen again... the more times you do this the more your file gets seen, thus the more likely you'll get a faster response.

i wouldn't call every day, but like i said, at least once a week isn't a bad idea.
best of luck to all the hopefuls for 2012, i shall see you at indoc (hopefully i won't, cause that means you weren't paying attention and hurt yourself).

Thanks for the good words. I will call periodically to show my interest. I guess its just a numbers crunch now? Good luck to all the 2012 candidates!

I went from hold to principal on 3-04-07

I mean today.

Congratulations SeaScout! Now, why are you sitting in front of your computer?
You should be running, you should be doing pullups, you should be doing pushups. I know one of the DIs, he thought that indoc was too easy and he is not going to make it easy on anyone.

Good job SeaScout!
From one "Principal" to another(I went from "hold" to "principal" today as well!)

seascout and goathunter, i sent you both personal messages.

GREAT NEWS! Yayy!

Congratulations!! Now invite your parents to post here, too so we can meet them.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!! finally, I got in to USMMA class of 2012. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats tls. Now, go out and buy a chin up bar. put it in the doorway to your room and USE IT! When you watch T.V. do pull ups at every third commercial break. Do push ups and crunches at the other ones. My son has a bar at KP. He does pull ups every time he goes into his room. You will get a fitness program from the Academy ...follow it. Indoc will challenge you, but you can make it.The more you prepare the easier it will be.
