What Does it Mean by "Briefly and Specifically Tell Why You Are Applying?"

I know this is a stupid question, but I just want to make sure I have this right. I’m working on applying to Centre right now, and they have a short answer that says “briefly and specifically tell us why you have decided to apply to Centre.” They have what they call the “Centre Commitment” in which all students are guaranteed a study abroad trip and a research opportunity before they graduate. I was going to talk about this, but does “briefly” mean just list why? Or write a few sentences? A paragraph? They don’t give a character or word limit.

Again, I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I don’t want to give them an answer that’s too short or too long and consequently cost myself a few points with them.

I think a paragraph or so is fine. I wouldn’t list it as bullet points. Basically, why Centre? Why are you applying there over other schools? I think it helps to make it specific to the school as possible.
