What does it mean?

I sent a fax to my admissions man (Lester!) a few weeks ago because two articles did stories about a large community service endeavor that I'm leading in my city. This afternoon (two weeks later), he confirms that he got it?

Has anyone else experienced this kind of delay or what do you think that it means?

Yep, with one update, I never got a confirmation and with another it was several days later, after most admissions had already been made.

I don't know what it means. Maybe it just means that they're busy.

I sent an email to my admissions rep about a clerical error I made in my application, and didn't respond. This was about three weeks ago.

My s sent an update a few weeks ago and didn't get a response. I wouldn't worry about it. I think they have their work cut out for them.

I sent an email on Dec 1st to my admissions rep about AP awards and didn't get a response either. I figured she was either too busy looking at applications or had already decided that I was a lost cause. Hoping for the former, of course. :)

Yeah, I'm not worried. I hope he read the email, but the mistake was pretty minor.

I sent 2 updates to the admissions office. One on paper (like 2 weeks ago) and one by e-mail. My admissions officer wrote back to me saying that he put it into my file. He ALSO said " A copy of your email has been included in the admissions file for review by the Yale Admissions Committee." In the Princeton Review book, it says that Yale uses a regional preliminary screening for all applicants. Does this mean I got past the first round? Anyone know anything about this "regional preliminary screening"?

Typically, the first round is just to identify those that CLEARLY have ZERO chance of making it into Yale. So yes, you probably made it past the first round. However, that shouldn't be much of a surprise to you.

I want to make it to the final round!
