at my school, you generally need a 3.8 weighted by end of junior year to make top 10%. This is a school that offers around 20 APs.

At my school you basically have to show up for school on most days.

idk about our school, you don't have to have a really good GPA, but you have to do somewhat well, maybe like a 3.4 GPA..not sure. We offer around 16.

My school offers 28 APs. I don't have my junior GPA and rank yet (1st semester hasn't ended yet) but with my sophomore GPA of 3.76 something something, and weighted GPA of 5.5 (out of 6) I'm (just barely) in the top 5%. I'm 16th of 351. But the numbers go down really slowly. My sister graduated just outside of the top 15% (she was like 15.3% or something) and she had a 3.65 or so.

At my school, its best to have been there are 6 years and I think you need to have been in our 8th and 9th grade Honors program, because you get more weighting that way. After that, you have to take a lot of APs, which is very, very easy to do at my school. It doesn't seem to me that I do much work, but I think that's because I'm used to it. The only people I know who do absolutely nothing are either total geniuses or people who are about to get kicked out.

Top 50. You would need to be reasonably smart and make some effort. If you make an effort, not being top 50 would be pretty bad.

1/2 ass 3/4 of the work. The other quarter you can blow off.

5 or 6 APs by the end of Junior Year.

3.1 UW GPA ish... I suppose. We're pretty chill...

^Sounds same, do you go to an lausd school?

My school doesn't rank. :P

Our school offers about 15 APs, but it doesn't take too much to be top 10%. Usually you have the people who want to rank well, but end up doing miserably in AP classes, so people who perform well in mediocre classes tend to get up there. However, there are always a few competitive jerks (e.g. me) who take tons of APs and do well in them, which makes valedictorian a very competitive rank.

You have to have above a 3.8UW, and a 4.48 out of 4.5 I have a 4.42 and I'm top 11%

DP

Top 20. GPAs drop swiftly past the top 20; they're all 90 or above, and then we have people who are 85 or below. I'm in that awkward #57 even though I should be higher...my class is really competitive.

There are 1200 people in my senior class, and I have a 4.25 GPA weighted and I'm just in the top 5%. So in my school, i'd say you need at least a 4.0 weighted to be in the top 10%. Which is pretty sick.

Top 14 for us. I think they have a 3.87 UW/4.04 W, so our school is competitive, I guess.

Hmm... top 33... ~3.8 UW GPA, I'd think. Maybe 3.7.

3.7-3.7 UW gpa

im val and i have 3.9 uw

we dont offer any APs

Top ten. You'd need around a 4.0 unweighted gpa.

Which means, basically, you have to come home every night and do about 5 hours of really dedicated work (even if you're really smart).

So yeah... that's not me.

Requirements to be in top 10% in my school:

Show up to class

We don't rank, but we do have this:
(GPA).......................(# of students)
4.00-4.44…………………..55
3.50-3.99…………………..78
3.00-3.49…………………..72
2.50-2.99…………………..60
2.00-2.49…………………..22
