what does michigan do...?

do they take the highest SAT splits of all your tests or just take the highest combined score at one sitting....please let me know. i have 550 M 570 V... 1120 first time but 640 M 550 V...1190 2nd time. All my highest splits would be 1210. What do they look at. I hope its 1210!!!

best score in 1 sitting

dwade are you sure? every other college ive heard of does the best combined score.

i'm pretty sure dwade is right...

Really? Every other school is highest combined.

No, every other school isn't.

Yah, I wish they would combine the highest too.

uggh that is such a pain

Most private universities combine the highest in each section. State universities do not. That explains why schools like Michigan, Cal and UVA have mean SAT scores in the 1320-1340 range as opposed to 1370-1390 if they did it the way private universities do it. It hurts them in the rankings, but for some reason, state schools will not bend in this matter.

Most state universities count your highest scores in one sitting. In your case it doesn't really matter as your score is below the 25% for Michigan either way (1240-1400).

Whats ur ACT man? Like if ur a minority or athlete or come from a good high school or SOMETHING...like really high GPA, ACT score..u sitll have a chance. Don't let that fact that your SAT score as a 1190 or 1210 or w/e bring ur hopes down. (I got in with an 1180) and I'm NOT a minority (southeast asian), 27 ACT, 3.6 GPA

anyways good luck
