What does my application status mean? Do I need to take the SBEI?

My application status is as follows:

“Thank you for your patience and continued interest in Michigan State University. An initial review of your application indicates you are a competitive applicant to MSU. Due to an increase in the quantity and quality of freshman applications, the Office of Admissions requires additional time to thoroughly review all applicants before making a final decision.
Admissions decisions will be released on a rolling basis, beginning in mid-October 2016. Our intention is to deliver your decision within 12-weeks from the time your application was complete; including all your supporting documents (personal statement, transcript and test-scores).
No additional information or documents are required. The most up-to-date information will be posted to your account as soon as it becomes available. Students will be notified by email when a change occurs on your account.
Thank you again for your patience.”

What does this mean? It says “no additional information or documents required,” but within my control panel (on my Be a Spartan page), the SBEI has appeared.

Does this mean that I should take the SBEI? I know that you need to take it once you are accepted or if you get deferred, but I don’t know what this means for my situation.

Does my application status mean that I have been deferred?

I did emailed them and I am now waiting to hear back, but does anyone here know what I should do???

I got the same thing and I have no idea what it means either. I’m hoping that it means that we are closer to getting accepted because this is not the same thing as getting deferred.

Yes same here. thanks for the reply!

I was accepted on the 18th, good luck!

@zster90 how long did it take for you to find out?
