What does one need?

haha, i'm actually really enjoying reading this all in french.

Will taking Latin strengthen an application? Just curious since I take it and I have an A, I was wondering if this will "set me apart" or at least give me an advantage...

why would it help? i mean i take three languages (Latin included) and i'm not even sure that would help me too much
actually midd has a big focus on SPOKEN languages, in fact i met no one taking latin in my whole two days there

Well its the root of a ton of other languages. Although it is a " dead language", if you aspire to learn more languages with Latin roots and you make that clear in your apps maybe it would strengthen your app

ok fine i sounded way mean, sorry, i'm so not like that. i just want to be realistic.

On the subject of SATs/Testing that this thread started on... Can you submit the SAT I and then include select SAT IIs and APs or do you have to pick one or the other? It would be great if you could sumit the SATs and then also some SAT IIs or APs.

I was told at an info session that you could send in multiple types, & they would pick the "best" set, i.e., either your SAT 1, 3 SAT 2's, ACT, or combo of SAT 2/AP/IB. So, to answer your question, I think you can submit all you mentioned, & they'll do the selection. I do not think they will mix & match SAT 1's with SAT 2's or any other type, though, but they will pick the most favorable set from what you give them.

Please guys, be honest--
I applied ED1 to midd; what are my chances for getting in early?
SAT Math: 720
Reading: 650
Writing: 790
and I also sent in an ACT i took with a composite score of 30
SAT2 math1C: 720
SAT2 US history: 680
AP US: 4

what race are you? tell me and i can tell you your chance

what about your gpa, ger4343?

Don't you think it's a little silly to be asking....you'll find out in less than two days!

I’m caucasian (which unfortunately doesn’t help me). My school doesn’t have gpa’s but I’m taking 6 classes, 4 of which are APs and I got As in all except 1 for the first quarter.
