What does one write in the personal statement when the majors are different?

Ok so im applying to two different majors one for ucla and berkeley. But the majors are different. How do I tell them in my personal statement since all the UC'S read the same one?

IDK, I have the same problem.

UCLA - History
UCB - History
UCD - English
UCSD - Political Science
UCSC - Econ

Wat do?

I just wrote my personal statement with 3 different majors. What you should do is integrate the two most important ones (or schools) into your essay. You can see mine if you want an example.

I attended a UC personal statement workshop and they basically said if it falls under one general area, to merely mention that specific field. For example, I’m applying as a sociology major and a gender studies major, I can’t talk about exclusively about sociology, and leave out gender studies so rather I’m going to just say, “I’m interested in the social sciences” blahblahblah.

I believe you have to apply to them separately. Don’t know how that works though. You should speak to a representative or call the Universities for information.
