What does PART 2 of the application of Fu engineering school consist of?

Can any one tell specifically what does the application's part 2 of Fu engineering school consist of?

As you know, somehow annoyingly, applicants have to pay before being able to see the essay questions. I want to know whether or not the questions are suitable for me before I apply.

Please tell me everything in the part 2 of Fu engineering school. I also have a lot of works to do on my other apps.

please help

thanks

Aside from the why engineering question all the other essays on the Columbia app are the same for CC and SEAS students. Here are the essays and short answer questions on the Columbia app...

Limiting yourself to the space provided, briefly describe which single activity/interest listed represents your most meaningful commitment and why. (300 characters)

List the books you read for pleasure in the past year: (300 characters)

List the required readings you enjoyed most in the past year: (300 characters)

List the print and/or electronic publications you read regularly: (300 characters)

List the films, performances, exhibits, concerts, shows, etc. you enjoyed most in the past year (300 characters)

Please tell us what you find most appealing about Columbia and why: (600 characters)

For applicants to The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, please tell us what attracts you specifically to the study of engineering: (600 characters)

thanks for the response, lechar. However, for the questions that ask you to "list", do we need to also include description about the items that we list, since 300 characters are somewhat a bit too lengthy in terms of space for listing?

please help

thanks to lehcar again for the information.

I did not include descriptions for the list questions because it said to list, but I'm not sure what you're supposed to do. Make sure you realize the difference between 300 characters and 300 words, because 300 characters is really not that long.

Thanks for this info. We were thinking that the Fu application looked more like a liberal-arts school application.

The applications are the same for both schools. SEAS just has an extra question that asks about why you chose engineering.

Here's a link to the full paper application (identical to the web one):

Why don't you better download a form for the paper application? You will be able to see everything for yourself.

Edit: one minute too late:D
