I'm a student in high school stressing over college admissions (Like everyone is now a days) but i have a great gpa, 94, and i have a ton of extra curriculars, and take ap and honors classes. But my ACT/SAT scores aren't that great. I was wondering, if i retake the acts, and get like a 30, do i have any chance of getting in?

I would recommend an ACT of at least 32. Besides that, focus on essays and a “package” in your application that will make you stand out.

Usually people who don’t ask this question, but to answer your other question about testing, for an unhooked applicant, it would be tough to get in with a 30

People who can fill a URM quota, donate lots of money, play obscure instruments in their band, excel at one of their varsity sports, potentially be a future nobel laureate / supreme court justice / business tycoon / ruler of the world.

Maybe surf their site and get some materials sent to you. Your question is rather open ended.

And certainly a Princeton aspirant is able to research these things on their own rather than wait for strangers’ postings to a website, no?

Its seems as though they are doing the research. As you gain knowledge you will come to realize asking questions is the key.

Why this score? OP, you will need top scores, top grades, and compelling personal qualities to be admitted. But you knew that. There’s no special secret.

As you gain knowledge, you realize schools don’t look for students who try to find a mold for admissions so that they can try to fit it rather developing on their own.
