I take it that it is a large envelope. Does it say anything on the envelope like congratulations. or you're in, or anything?

My D's envelope said "Congratulations"on the outside and it was a large white envelope.

Last year it came in a big envelope with congratulations splayed across the front.

What was inside? Was there a brochure?

several brochures

There was her acceptance letter, along with a folder with various flyers in it, for things such as the "admitted students days"(the one-day program with info sessions, student panel, tour, presentation by your child's designated college, etc.), a booklet about housing and meal plans, a booklet about appying for financial aid, and a guide for students offered admission, and an envelope for returning your child's acceptance letter and deposit.

OK this envelope that is sitting on the kitchen table is big, thick, probably has fliers in it, but it doesn't say congratulations.

(I'm really behaving myself by not opening it). :)

Ahhh. Different campus. No wonder the envelope doesn't say congratulations.

Thanks momonthehill and sax.

Looks like a rough year getting into UP. Look at those kids w/2100's getting other campuses. Some kids increase their chance for UP by offering to start in summer. Also it is amazing the increase in apps. across the board for colleges. Wonder how many kids get accepted and don't go? Doesn't hurt to keep in touch. Hard to stare at those darn envelopes.

Hi dstark, I'm sorry to hear that it didn't work out for main campus, although the commonwealth sound like a good way to gradually transition to UP if that's what your son decides he really wants. And also with the OSU acceptance, it looks like he's going to have some good options to decide from.:)

Sax: Yes, from what I'm hearing, college admissions are high pressure just about everywhere, what with the current generation of "echo boomers" swelling the ranks of applicants. And it sounds like it will remain that way for at least the next few years.

It's ok. Her still has OSU and Indiana.

It would have been nice if it was a smaller envelope. :)
