I think people really need to relax about the weight of the envelopes hahaha. We have established that the envelope will look the same regardless; so instead of wasting time holding it up to the light, OPEN IT!

Good luck to everybody!! And I just want to say that, if you don’t get in, try not to stress so much going over what you should have done differently. The past few months have taught me that admissions is such a screwy process that it really isn’t worth it. I got accepted to Georgetown (College) EA and was waitlisted RD to GWU on Friday.

The world of college admissions is just strange.

@chicagograd2011: good to hear, I’m not the only one ;)

@chicagograd2011

I was waitlisted RD to GW,too! That makes me feel a lot better! :D

Got accepted to Georgetown and University of Virgina but got rejected from NYU and GW, go figure. Also everyone keep their head up. If you look back at my post from yesterday I didn’t know mail was going to be sent out and received Saturday, I found at an hour before the mailman came and that hour was the most tense hour ever. You should just do something you like to make the time go by faster. I should be taking my own advice because I’m waiting for my financial aid package and it’s killing me.

Hahah I know the feeling. I suddenly resent the USPS for not delivering mail on Sundays.

@chicagograd2011 & sfdesigirl

I was waitlisted to GW too!!! It was so shocking…but I guess that’s how college admissions works.

Good luck everyone!!! I know the anticipation is absolutely killing me.

Also waitlisted at GWU. The school has serious Tufts syndrome and tends to either waitlist or reject students it feels are only applying there as a safety.

so are we supposed to get an e-mail, then a letter?

no, you only get an email if you’re international

perfect thanks

just wondering, why is it called Tufts syndrome? is Tufts notorious for either rejecting or waitlisting people of higher stats than their caliber?

I believe it refers to rejecting students who are overly qualified because they will most likely be applying to Ivies and plan to attend there. It is said Tufts University does this, haha sounds like a. . tough break to me.

I’m too easily amused.

Yes. I got WAITLIST from GWU. They seem to automotically reject or waitlist the applicants who don’t show much interest in GWU.

I’m an internaitonal applicant but still haven’t received the email. Haha. Wondering whether Georgetown does send an email this year…

When do u think the West Coast will get decisions?
