I applied for the 2009-2010 housing and just receive my lottery number.

From what I've heard about the lottery number, the smaller, the better. Is that true?

If not, how the lottery systems works?

Thanks

yes the smaller the number the better it is for you to get the housing of your choice. It goes in numerical order so if you have 10000 like my gf does then 9999 people get put into housing before you.

Wow! 10,000? And I thought I had it bad (3700-something) =

Does the lottery process really matter so much if you are applying for a double? I thought it made more of a difference if you were trying to apply for an apartment or suite.

the only thing that will matter if you are applying for a double is which campus you are going to get on.

Ohhhh, okay. Thanks =)

So, I got 108xx...lol

Alright, then which campus should I sign up for the best chance to get in?

you would probably get on livingston. I like livingston thats where my gf currently lives. alot of construction but its chill. nice campus where u can walk to everything and its nice when basketball season is around cause u can just walk to the RAC!

I am living in livingston right now, too. I will be more than happy to reapply for livingston. Hope that I would get a room here with a 108xx lottery number
