I’ve read differing opinions on this. Some say that it’s best for people who know what they want to do as a career, and can thus sculpt their education around it. Other say that because there’s opportunity to take many classes, it’s good for people who don’t know what to do and want to sample a little. But many say core curriculums, where people are forced to take classes to maybe find out what they want to do, are best for the not-so-sure types.
