What does the sign at Max P mean?

I apologize if you guys think I am making mountain out of mole hill.

I walked by Max P along University Avenue yesterday afternoon. At the corner of 56th and University Max P has some large glass windows in square paneling. Yesterday on those windows were these words: “BE SAFE DRINK H2O”.

At first I though that was just a reminder for Max P residents not to over indulge in alcohol. But as I walked south along University Avenue, I notice the frat house row was beaming in action. Frat brothers seemed to be setting up for some parties. Then I wondered whether that message on Max P window was really a not so subtle jab from Max P towards the frat houses.

Is there a strong tension between frat houses and Max P? Or between the drinking and non drinking crowd on campus in general? Current students, please enlighten me on this.

It’s just an inside joke

On the other hand, I’ve heard that dihydogen monoxide (also known as hydroxylic acid) has been responsible for plenty of deaths. It also has significant corrosive properties.
