Hey i recenly mailed the UCLA transfer department to inform them my dropped classes.
And i had also mentioned that i had not been doing well this semester. bcos of some reasons.
And this is what they emailed back to me.

The dropped courses will be added to your application.

Regarding how youre doing this semester we cannot add that information to your application. We do not look at senior year grades for ANY of our applicants. If we consider your grades, then we would have to consider everyone elses grades as well.

If you are offered admission, that will be based on your Sophomore and Junior year grades. You would be expected to maintain the same academic standards for the senior year.

If you are offered admission, you will have a chance to explain why your grades have dropped in the senior year.

Prior to decisions being released in March, we do not need to know the grades for this year.

Sincerely,

IDK but does it mean that they will not consider your Fall Results at All?

Hey,
Actually i made it quite clear that i am a transfer student, infact they actually had to register my dropped classes, and there they must have figured that i am a transfer student.
they mentioned
" We do not look at senior year grades for ANY of our applicants"

what does their senior year mean? Does it include the fall 08?

Yeah , thats what i think too.
Dang, they got my hopes high.
Btw do you know when will they have you turn in your grades from Fall semeseter.
Can you also turn in your Winter grades then as well?
Thanks

you submit fall grades on the UC site from january 7th to the 31st, including your planned courses. i dont know when your winter intersession takes place but i doubt youll get your winter grades before the 31st

Last year the deadline was January 31 except some UC schools have a later deadline date like Feb. 5. However, most of the top tier UCs will have their update deadlines on Jan. 31. I can safely assure that Cal and UCLA's deadlines will be the 31st of January.
