What does this mean about me? SAT VS ACT

I got my ACT scores back today and I'm not pleased with them at all. What I got on the practice tests and what I got on the real test does not match at all. I have prepped since June for the ACT(lightly), making significant improvement. Yesterday I tried the SAT for the first time and I got a score MUCH better than what my ACT score conversion would be. My ACT right now is a 24, but my SAT CR+M is a 740-680+570-630...Does this mean I am better at reasoning and have achieved little in high school? I think one of the reasons I do better is the time but there's got to be other reasons too. My scores are based on 2 official sat practice tests.

PS: I did guess on a lot of the answers, which is a bad habit from the ACT. I now know omitting is always better.

I’m not sure what you are asking, but I always guess on both the ACT and the SAT. As long as I can eliminate 2 of the answers, I guess among the 3 left.

I sincerely believe that the ACT and the SAT do not accurately gauge your reasoning skills or your achievement/growth in high school.

This DOES mean that you worry about test scores, and that you are willing to prepare for them (although only lightly). Take the SAT. Do whatever you want. Get a hobby besides test taking.

I really wish I could. I want this college application thing over with already. One more go round, then I’m done.

Yeah, I never leave blanks for the SAT but that’s just me. I do better in general at the SAT as well, even though I feel that I’m better at “achievement” than “reasoning”… Those labels aren’t true for everyone, in my opinion. Timing is like the main issue for me too. I’d say take the SAT, try your best, and see what you get.
