<p>So last Friday I got an email from Columbia telling me that I forgot to apply for financial aid though I had expressed interest in it. Does this mean I actually have a chance at acceptance? Or am I reading too much into this? Because, I mean why would they ask for financial aid from someone who they already decided would be rejected?</p>

<p>This email is an automatic one. That is too say that everybody who said “yes” to financial aid on their application via Commonapp.org and everybody who didn’t send all the documents will received that kind of email.
The problem here is if you are accepted and apparently you didn’t send your financial aid form in time, you will maybe not have a chance to have any scholarships … so send them quickly :)</p>
