What does this mean?

I just recently received this email after applying EDII to the political communications major:

Dear Student,

Thank you for you Early Decision application to The George Washington University and the School of Media and Public Affairs. We are in the process of reviewing your application for admission and unfortunately are unable to admit you to the major to which you have applied in The School of Media and Public Affairs. However, we can offer binding early decision admission to The Columbian College of Arts and Sciences. Please keep in mind that GW students have the opportunity to apply directly to the School of Media and Public Affairs during their sophomore year. If you are interested in this opportunity, please send a confirmation email that you are interested in being admitted to The Columbian College of Arts and Science. You will receive an admit packet in the mail, shortly. If you are no longer interested in being considered for this opportunity, please let us know if you would like us to withdraw your application from further consideration.

Does this mean that if i tell them I am interested that I am already admitted? or that they will consider me? Any input would be appreciated.

it means if you tell them you're interested, then congratulations you're part of the GW class of 2010

This is completely irrelevant, but I love rilo kiley (the band).
So that's that.

you were admitted to the university, but not to poli comm.

same thing happened to my son, EDI. But at least you got an email. They weren't so organized in Dec., and we had to call them to find out.... it was very stressful. But he took the binding admission to CAS... and hopefully, we be accepted to Poli Com when he reapplies as a soph. Good luck.
