"During our peak application processing period from December 16 through January 24, our staff will be unable to respond to phone calls or e-mail inquiries about application materials. We will be devoting all of our time and effort toward getting freshman applications to selection committees so that they may given a thorough review. Thank you for your patience and understanding!"

Does this mean that our application is already being read? I thought they start in feb...

did you read that on the website? i think that means they are processing information, like getting it all organized because that's when they receive everything

What it really means is that since your name is "princetonwannabe", the Cornell people realized that you didnt have actual interest in their school and were just using it for a backup, and consequently they shredded your application.

And also, WJJ, you do realize that the username is not hard-wired into the circuitry of the computer, don't you? That is, the statement that you were "on [your] dad's laptop and therefore his name" puzzles me.

perro406- of course I realize that, but if you select "remember me" when you sign in, upon opening IE and going to the CC forums you are already logged in. Of course I could sign out and sign back into my name, but that would of course be too much effort.
