Today in the mail I received a letter form Cornell, telling me that I was a promising young student, and that I should apply for the Jackie Robinson scholarship. BUT, it does not come out and say you are accepted or even we liked your application. I know it is a good sign, but should i think of it as a we want you here or no? Please help.

can someone please advise me. i really need some assurance! REALLY I JUST NEED THE TRUTH!

I have no idea what it means...if it happened to me, I would view it as a good sign, but that's all the info. I can offer you, since I've never heard of the scholarship

yea, why would they advise you to apply for that scholarship if you were not a strong candidate they were planning on admitting?

basically, this is what it means: you're in.

It means apply for the scholarship. :)

Don't be too sure arp. Rutgers accepted me, and then I withdrew and they are still mailing me "class of 09" stuff and scholarship apps. Then again, they did accept me, so I dunno.
