What does this prompt ask for?

If there is additional information you would like us to consider in reviewing your application, please share this with us as well. This is your opportunity to tell us things about yourself that have not been asked elsewhere if you believe they will help us become acquainted with you in ways different from courses, grades, and test scores.

Do we write an essay or personal statement? Or just pure additional information :P

For example, this can be used to explain why grades took a dip at some point (illness, family death, depression, move), why you don’t have so many EC’s (working for financial reasons,). My child used it to explain that the varsity sport takes 20+ hours/week from mid-Nov to mid-Feb, and that in the offseason this sport (on a club team) is 10 hours/week, meaning that top grades, good test scores, volunteer work and employment are put into further perspective.

thanks so much! that would imply one less essay =) =) =)
