Transferring from an out-of-state school but am a California resident. Have been to a handful of different schools and have brought my credits along with me.
When applying to UCLA, which courses do I use to calculate the Transfer GPA?
-Do I use all the classes that equal the 60 credits for my AA degree?
-Or, do I use just the courses that UCLA specifies as prerequisite requirements for my intended major?
UC transferable courses are used for the Transfer GPA. You would need to look up your OOS courses and see if you can articulate these courses to comparable courses in assist.org. Not all OOS courses will be UC transferable. It does not matter if you are a California resident, what matters are the courses you have taken.
You could also reach out to admissions and ask them evaluate your transcript to make sure your courses meet the minimum 60 transfer units required for UCLA.
