what does uship do

distract from the endless admissins threads and back to the point of this forum

ok, i just switched to the universitys health insurance plan. what does it constitiute?? what doctor do you go to, and what does it cover? is it always ashe center? thanks

SHIP insurance covers health and eye insurance. You can only go to a doctor in ASHE UNLESS you're 50 miles or more away from campus. If you're within those 50 miles and ASHE is closed, I believe you have to go to the Emergency Room. EyeMed (the eye insurance carrier), will send you a list of elligible optomitrists to see or you can just go to ASHE. Oh and I almost forgot, with SHIP insurance, most services are "free" w/no copay in the ASHE center.

Sooo excited I got in,,,compelled to commence hijacking over your thread !!!

On a side note, I wish I kinda had ship instead of my kaiser for at least that one week last semester. I sprained my ankle and it would have cost like 40-50$ to rent crutches because I had to pay like copay(I think), pay the doctor for the visit, if the doctor wanted to give me an xray thats more and finally I would have to pay for crutches (I think). I just limped my way back to Sunset from Ashe. I think it took me 45 minutes :(
