Hey all, I'm a rising senior and I made a post about my chances, but I do have a few questions. My school is far too small to rank, so what exactly does UT consider when you go to a nonranking school? I have heard (not sure if this is accurate or not) that they pretty much only look at your SAT score and nothing else. Do they care about GPA, ECs, and essays? I'd just like a bit of clarification from someone knowledgable about UT and how they deal with students from nonranking schools. Thank you! :)

probably SAT as the main judge then look at the toughness of the cirriculum you took in high school then your essays

They rank you based on the other kids that applied to UT from your high school.

lol it’s really hard to say, seems like it’s harder to get in from a school that doesn’t rank.

I doubt the SAT is the deciding factor.
There are kids from TAMS who make it into MIT but get waitlisted or rejected by UT
