Oh what...wrong thread.

What's the BCA program?

Taxii - I'm applying to the BCA. Where did you hear about the applications being emailed? I've been waiting for one since early January and I emailed usc today asking if it was available yet

pineapple, The BCA program is the Business - Cinematic Arts program that combines business and film classes. It's a lot heavier on business, and was created for students interested in pursuing production or management in the entertainment industry (film and television).

changeling09, I actually received an application by e-mail earlier today. I was waiting for one since January because they said they would have them available by then. I guess they were running about a month late and just released the application. I don't really see the point of completing it until you find out whether you've been admitted or not because I don't think they're due until May 1st.

Hey kinda changing the subject (actually, really changing the subject lol) does anyone have an idea of when we will receive a financial aid package?

Another question, any SoCal people heard back yet!?!?

We got an email from USC Financial Aid office today that indicated that admitted students would be notified about their financial aid awards by Mid March, I'm guessing the week of March 16th since they also mentioned that online records should be updated by then:

"Due to the large volume of documents submitted to our office in the last 3-4 days, you may have received a busy signal when attempting to fax documents to us. We apologize for the inconvenience and have taken steps to increase our
fax capacity.
If you have not yet submitted all necessary documents, please
fax them to us as soon as possible. Funding is still available. We will
begin notifying admitted students of their financial aid eligibility in mid-March.
To check your document status, please visit USC Financial Aid. Click on "My Financial Aid & Documents" and log in. If you submitted documents within the past few days, your record should be updated to include them no
later than Monday, March 16.

Financial aid counselors are available in person, by e-mail and by phone to answer any questions you might have. For contact information, please refer
to USC Financial Aid - Contact Us.

Sincerely,

collegefrenzy have you been accepted? I was accepted and haven't received this email

Interesting ... I didn't get this email either or a letter from USC about the missing financial aid documents that I had before the March 2nd deadline.

My son was accepted in the first wave, and we may have received this email for a couple of reasons. 1) I just faxed in our w2's and 2) our online financial aid status showed some outstanding items.
Hope that helps.

status change! haha

went from the "received midyear" to "application being reviewed"

scared =[

I haven't received this email either sky-raptor, and I was in one of the first "waves" of acceptances.

So okay, does this email mean that even if you submitted material late (in a timely manner obviously) due to the trouble sending them, that they won't be considered late and you won't have missed the deadline?

:/ I'm still at the "We have everything and will respond by April 1st."

I'm hoping that doesn't = automatic rejection.

We actually had hand delivered our tax returns at the Explore USC on the date of the deadline but we forgot to include our W2's so they let us fax them after the deadline.

I'm guessing that due to the fax problems they've had, they are cutting everyone some slack on the deadline as long as they get the documentation in ASAP. That is the way I interpret the email message I posted.

does anyone know for sure when they will be sending out acceptances? is there a certain date?

I wrote this on the USC 2013 "next wave" section. my college counselor called usc and he said about 2 more weeks... but that could be specifically for my school etc. I don't know. It is later this year and different... they're going away from the wave system.

Greeneyes, which state are you in?

California
