What does your status page say?

We received the fall grades we requested, and require no additional information at this time. We will mail decisions to freshman applicants by April 1st.

i hated my mid-year... 3.495/4 UW... ap calc and ap phys were not nice to me..

I think there are just way too many applicants and too little time to spare for each one. I guess there's really nothing much we can do but be patient and hope that something happens to our application...preferably something good.

anyone else having problems logging in to the mid-year page?

I never submitted my fall grades but my status page says this:

We received the fall grades we requested, and require no additional information at this time. We will mail decisions to freshman applicants by April 1st

Anyone know what that means?

We have completed an initial review of your application and would like to see the results of the first term of your senior year (final, not mid-term marks).

HouseOfCards - sigh...please search the forum before asking questions. There are about 10 other people who posted the same question you did.

quick question: lets say they don't request mid-year grades, but i send them anyway through the online application, would i HAVE to send the grades by mail as well even though they did not specifically request it? would just giving the self-inputted grades suffice?

they didn't ask for my mid-year grades, but i submitted my them online anyways. But my status page is the same, it doesn't say anything like we've received your mid-year grades. Is this okay?

and plus, what does it mean when they don't ask for your mid-year grades?
bad or good?

thanks

Taiwaneseterror, House of Cards has a right to ask his/her question, because no one has answered it with certainty. I can tell you this: I recieved the same information, and I emailed the admissions office, and they told me that online message was a mistake and they in fact, did not have my fall grades. So I would contact them for verification of whether or not they really have them.

Submitted the mid-year grades because they asked for them even though they told me they had my transcript. Status didn't change over the weekend so I called today just to make sure and the admissions officer said she'd take care of it. Status is now:

We received the fall grades we requested, and require no additional information at this time. We will mail decisions to freshman applicants by April 1st.

Why do some actually let you know when your app is being reviewed and some are like this? Is there some difference?

Yes. It means they already reviewed your app, and wanted to see your grades before they make THE final decision. Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's right.

Is that bad? Or not necessarily, just a standard procedure to see senior year grades? Can I expect a decision soon do you think?

I don't think it's standard procedure to ask for senior grades. They may do it in a number of cases, but they didn't say it was mandatory. Plus they haven't asked for mine.

Still in the "being reviewed" phase, since 1/30. They didn't ask for midyears either...I guess time will tell.

When I called in, I told the admissions officer that my mid-year grades were on my transcript, which they had already. She said "Oh, they are?" but asked me to submit anyway, so they might have thought my transcript didn't include mid-year grades since they received it in January (our semester ended end of Dec.). I never received an email requesting them, just saw it on the status.

From what I heard, they ask for midyear grades if they know for sure that you won't be considered for a Trustee/Presidential scholarship. You still have a shot at the Dean's though.

what about those of us who submitted by the scholarship deadline, haven't been asked for mid-year grades, and havent been offered a scholarship interview? And it says "application is being reviewed by the admissions committee"? Do you think I still have a chance at a scholarship?

or this situation: been accepted as of 2/8 (letter dated 2/1/08) but ahve not recieved any word of schoalrships yet and explore usc wonte let me see anything?

Or this situation: I submitted my application during the first week of December; and have had the "application reviewed by the admission committee" message since 1/25. I have not been asked for my mid-term grades (submitted them anyway), and was invited to interview for the Alumni Scholarship (which I did yesterday). Prior to the interview I had to fill out a brief update form which asked, among other things whether or not I had been accepted?!

garyslick: Which Alumni scholarship - was it Town & Gown?
