Were your mid-term grades pretty good? Hopefully it means you're in the second wave.

yes... my mid-year grades were very good (better than ive ever done)

does this mean i might be in the next batch released this friday? or is that for people who have been in the "review" status much longer than me

i want to be innnn

I think it would be the people who have been in review for a while now (February kids).

I'm praying for that.

What about late February people?

or early march people?? 3/7 to be exact =/

I'd assume if you changed on 3/7, you'd be in the 3/28 wave. It looks like it takes them 2-3 weeks to make a decision.

ok well hopefully the 3/28 wave is not a reject wave

according to southernbelle08, the 3/28 wave is BOTH a ginormous tsunami of acceptance and rejection letters. this next wave is little one

yea that would make sense, esp. for people who have been in review since early feb, they're probably gonna be in the wave coming out this friday. oh god...

kevster1001, it would make sense to me that late feb individuals are included in the small wave this friday, only because there are very few people who did get the 'review' status during that time, so it must mean something, right? Haha, or maybe just wishful thinking. I got the 'review' status in late feb as well and applied to the jan 10 deadline, so I don't really know what's going to happen.

I'm also thinking that some late-February kids may be in the wave that will be sent out this Friday. However, I know for sure that the kids that got changed in March will most likely be in the 28th batch given that it took about three weeks for the people that already got accepted to get their letters.

FINALLY something not about rich spoiled children.

i hope my letter is in this friday's wave. i've been under review since 2/6 and if i dont get my letter soon, ima feel like i'm a reject

The statuses may be a bit random - mine currently says "We are currently reviewing..." yet I was accepted in January.

And to give all of you hope - last Monday, March 4, the Dean of Admissions told us at Explore that only 1/3 of the acceptances had been sent out as of that point. So 2/3 left!!! At least 5,000 more will be accepted.

but most of them are transfers though... (it was said that the true freshman class is only going to be 2600)

The class will be about 2600 because USC expects about a 35% yield on the appoximately 7,600 acceptances.

well if u look at the freshman profile from last year it says that they admitted 8000 something (25% acceptance) if they only admitted 2600 that would be less than 10% wouldn't it

yea...that would be correct with the yield, i thought u were only talking about the acceptances

I figured out why status went from "acted upon" to "being reviewed" (after receiving the acceptance packet).
Reason maybe that they are reviewing for financial aid, since I got email about missing fin aid docs today.

This year is going to be HARDDD.
