What does your University of Chicago letter say??

Hey --

So if you got an acceptance at the University of Chicago, could you tell me what your letter says? is it personalized, or is it generic? Mine says, in one part...

"Our decision was not based on numbers but on your achievements and your words, a difficult determination to make, but one that gives proper honor to the University and you."

which really makes it sound like "ok, so based on your stats, you had no chance in hell. But you're essays were pretty good, so you're in!" i'm just wondering if thats something they wrote just for me or is that a generic thing?

They will all say the same thing.

My EA acceptance letter also said that. (I think they all say the same thing.)

Plus, here is what came right before. Did yours say this too?
