What don't i need to know

Hey everyone I'm going to starting studying for the Chem SAT II and the Math SAT II.

For Math II i have Barrons and sparknotes. And for Chem i have barrons and PR.

My question is what don't i need to know from these books, especially Barrons. I heard for math and chem they overprepare you. Which concepts should i not waste my time on??

Thanks in advance.

Barron's sat ii chemistry doesnt overprepare you that much, but I perfectly agree that Barron's sat ii math lvl 2 overprepares you big time (have used both). You don't have to memorize formulas they tell you to memorize. Some questions are ridiculous, so just skip them. I wish I had the book to tell you exactly which sections are worthless (o well). I got 800 without going through all. (I think I covered first 5 chapters or so)

Do
not
use
Barron's
Math
Level
2
at
all.

It doesn't overprepare; it misleads you. And the sections that are relevant are shrouded by convoluted language. I recommend PR. As for Chem, I recommend Barron's and PR.

for barron's chem.....don't worry too much over the lab problems. know the basics, but there are some real nitpicky details in the barron's book that really confused me. i only got through about a third of the book before taking the test last june and still did fine.

the only question i skipped was about balancing an equation...i thought it was redox and therefore skipped it because i figured it would take too long. unfortunately, when i came home and told my mom about it, we realized it was a plain and simple normal equation that would have taken me no more than twenty seconds to figure out if i wasn't so nervous.

so the most important thing to do is relax. also, i'm planning on taking math 2c this year...how is barron's going for you on that?
