UVA is one of my top choices, if not my top choice, so I'm just wondering how students like the school. Is there anything you don't like about it?

The only UVA-specific issue I had was the “seasonal” issues with ISIS (student accounts)…which no longer exists, although I hear it’s replacement is annoying.

My only other issue was that if you didn’t go to football games, but wanted to go out and run errands or do other things, traffic can be a nightmare. Actually, traffic in general on 29 is bad enough most of the time, except at night.

That’s about it.

UVA is my top choice as well, and though I’m not really informed about “life” there, I’m extremely intrigued by their high level of academia. Perhaps, once I enter senior year, I’ll learn some more about the social aspects of it, but I don’t think that will hinder me from making it my first choice.

Very greek and very preppy. My two biggest problems with the school.

I have to agree with the “very greek and very preppy” comment. I have a fair number of friends in the greek system, so it’s not like I’m anti-frat/sorority life, but sometimes it’s hard to believe only a third of the undergraduate student body goes greek because greek life is so prominent at UVA. However, it’s very easy to make friends and find things to do if you don’t go greek. It’s not necessarily a problem in my opinion, but something to keep in mind.
