What dorm is right for me?

I am having trouble picking the dorms for next year. I will be a freshman. What are the stereotypes for each dorm. Which one is the party dorm, smart dorm, music dorm, sconnie dorm, coastie dorm?

Other people will chime in with opinions; party dorms are Sellery and Witte, Chadbourne is the nerdy/smart dorm…

Any dorm you choose is right for you. You don’t need or want stereotypes. You need to look at locations where you feel you can destress after classes and spend your free time evenings and weekends. You need to figure out whether you feel better with a high or low rise dorm, near State St action or the lake. Oldest or newest or in between. Look at the dorms floor plans. See if any buildings look good to you or do not. Once you have done this you can narrow your choices. You will find that likeminded people will also choose the same dorms. You will also find you change once you are in college- the person you thought you were will evolve.
