My daughter will be in East Fairchild (Communications Residential College). Howzabout y'all?

My daughter was in CRC her freshman year and loved it. Her 8 closest friends are from the dorm, as a matter of fact 3 of them are spending the 4th weekend here. (They’re sleeping right now of course!) We had a dinner party for graduation with all of them and their families. It’s a great dorm!

How did you hear already? I don’t think my daughter has heard yet.

Oh, I figured it out. Residential colleges are reported first. I give up. I will wait for her to tell me something.

Does anyone know what happens if you have chosen a roommate and only one of you received the email accepting you into a res college? Can the accepted res college roommate pull you in, especially if that roommate has the better room selection number? Or can you no longer be roommates?

Great to hear this, thanks! (My daughter is a bit worried that she’ll be swamped by molto-dramatico ‘theater types’ there.)

tougis - Not so much theatre kids - more RTVF kids.

Where are the music majors housed? Is it a specific hall? Which is the best dorm hall?

RTVF major, living in Shepard

Why’d you pick Shepard?

My DD will be in Willard

I kind of wish my daughter had applied for Willard–seems tres cool.

My daughter was in Willard her freshman year. Her double was HUGE! She was happy there but did not live in university housing after that. Willard is very convenient for people whose classes are on the south end of campus, but it’s a bit of a pain for students who are going to Tech or other buildings in the north.

Allison! :)
