how is the highrise?

Yeah can someone give us some info similar to what HiImAnAlcoholic told us?

Apparently Dickson is mostly singles, but I read that it is also home to the Multicultural Living Learning Unit. Does that get in the way of normal life? Is living in Dickson basically like forced membership with that program house or is the Multicultural LLU pretty separate?

What are the compositions/perks of the other dorms like? (Single:Double ratio, student lounges on every floor (!), etc.)

Also, AJKates, what's the difference between suite-style and rooms-on-a-hall?

mcclu is this random basement corner of the building. i think it's a stupid program, but that's for another day.

Dickson is huge, (500+ residents) and 90% of the building is not mcclu. so yeah, don't worry about that at all, it's not like forced membership in the least.

dickson is all singles except for a few doubles and triples in odd corners. that means the halls are really social. there are kitchens and lounges on every floor/wing, and they get used. (we also have billiards, ping pong, and a big screen tv...)

thanks for the info sparticus

Dickson has only singles but is huge and unfriendly.

Best: Court and Mews are brand new, have AC, mostly double. But best facilities overall.

unfriendly?

I requested a single and I wanna be in dickson!!!! I wish we could request!

Dickson's not unfriendly, unless you're antisocial

Can you change your requests after you submitted the criteria you entered?

are guys allowed to hang around in Balch? i really don't want to get sexiled... in universities here guys aren't allowed in girls' dorms. there used to be a rule where any guys visiting would have to wear a bright yellow jacket...like a warning sign!

guys are allowed in balch only with an escort. that means you can be there, but you can't technically chill there on your own.

thats gayy

If you are a regular at Balch, then you can pretty much roam in the corridors where people know you. As long as you look like you're there to see someone, and you don't look out of place (beyond the fact that you're in an all womens residence) guys don't really have a problem in balch. You are technically supposed to have an escourt, but I don't think many care so much to enforce it strictly.

Sorry, I meant that Mews and Court have A/C.

And dickson isn't just singles, there are a few doubles and triples also.
