Good news: One of my friends is starting an anti-alcohol club at my school so I'll have an EC.

Also, if I wanted to start a chess club, do you think I'd attract any non-nerds to it?

OHMYGOSH I am SO excited about all this stuff!!

I'm planning to go and get internships in the capitol (Sacramento), get involved with student government, join the debate team, join the campus' democrats club, join some kind of volunteer club, participate in the UC-DC program [a summer/semester of interning at DC], applying for the CIA internship, getting a job, intramural sports [prob swimming]...

There's SO MUCH I want to do!! I might get involved in the drama department, if not as an actress, as a techie. And also, working for the paper sounds REALLY fun!! OR maybe the yearbook. Oh, and I totally want to apply to the honors program! :D

Oh, and I want to maybe apply to be an RA sometime. That sounds like fun, I think. Dunno, I'll have to see.

College is TOTALLY making me so giddy...I mean, seriously. It's a chance to COMPLETELY reinvent yourself. Amazing opportunity. I can't wait.

Woah, don't get too excited there!!!

Let me warn you, do not bog yourself down with ECs. You've got to find time to study! I know people whose grades are down from where they should be because they spend too much time in ECs...

Also, I advise against completely reinventing yourself. If you ain't broke, don't fix yourself! If you're already a driven and good person then just expand on it, don't rewrite your book...just my two cents, coming from someone who hasn't changed one bit since he was little (except he became passionate about driving cars at age 16, but that was expected with age).

Well, I'm factoring in that I might not be taking all these internships/jobs at the same time, hahaha.

And besides, the only clubs I'm ABSOLUTELY FOR SURE going to do/go for are debate and student government. The others are things that intrigue me and things that I'd like to look into.

Trust me, I know not to drag myself down with ECs...planning to go into law, and GPA means a whole ****load. I'm willing to only be in 2 things and get internships if that means a better GPA. But I WOULD like to be superhuman and do it all!! XD

Anyway, the reason why I'm so driven now is because I slacked off during high school...and so I'm DEFINITELY changing that aspect of me in college. (: That's what I mean by reinvention, hahahaha. And, I'm going to be more outgoing!

The Daily Northwestern (Newspaper) for sure and the College Democrats Society...
